Job description

STX Next is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of infrastructure operations and automation of processes in production environments. The person in this position will collaborate with software development teams and the IT department to ensure system performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities

• Creating secure and scalable architecture in Azure
• Present architecture to business stakeholders, take part in pre-sales activities
• Implementing and managing tools for CI/CD process automation.
• Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Ensuring infrastructure security through the implementation of best practices and security tools.
• Optimising system performance and scalability.
• Collaborating with software development teams to automate software development processes.
• Creating and maintaining documentation related to configuration and operational procedures

Requirements

• Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies and services: Azure VMs, Azure Storage, VNETs, Resource Manager, Azure SQL, Azure Backup, Traffic Manager, Cloud & App Services, Azure Active Directory, AKS
• Proficiency in Azure networking and connectivity
• Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory / Entra, MFA and MS SQL Server
• Expertise translating business requirements / problems into technical architectures utilizing Azure and complementary technologies.
• Experience in providing Azure advisory and consulting services to customers including assessments, presenting recommendations on Azure migration roadmaps, architecture / designs etc.
• Candidate will lead analysis, recommendations, and presentation of approaches to customers complex problems based on prior experience and research.
• Strong experience in architect / design / deploy Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions based on a range of Azure technologies and services such as Compute, Data Services, App Services and Network Services.
• Experience in migration of various workloads to Azure from traditional infrastructure or other Clouds using Azure site recovery (ASR) or similar tools
• Experience in deployment and migration of various workloads to Azure
• Proficiency using one of the IaC solutions (Terraform, Bicep)
