Technical Team Lead (AWS)

We are looking for a Technical Team Lead (AWS) to join a leading global company in the automotive industry.

You will lead a cloud engineering team responsible for designing, building, and managing AWS infrastructure using Terraform. You will represent the team as a member of the organization’s Cloud Governance Board, helping to shape and align the cloud strategy, drive cost optimization (FinOps), and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the Cloud Governance Board to help define and steer the organization’s AWS cloud strategy and standards.
• Lead design, implementation, and improvement of multi-account AWS environments using Terraform.
• Drive cost optimization and FinOps processes; monitor, report, and help manage AWS spending.
• Stay current with AWS and industry trends; recommend adoption of new technologies and practices where appropriate.
• Guide, mentor, and support team members’ technical development and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with global teams and work closely with both local and remote stakeholders.
• Participate in hands‑on engineering (Terraform, Python, Bash, CI/CD with Github).

Requirements

• Proven experience leading AWS cloud engineering/DevOps teams.
• Expertise in Terraform for AWS IaC, plus Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong background with AWS services, networking, and multi-account architectures.
• Experience participating in strategy/governance boards or committees is a plus.
• Practical experience with cost management/FinOps in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
• AWS certification is a plus.
