An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Poland sp.z o.o. as AvionX Software Engineer (Level 2), based in Poland.

Candidates can work from our office in Gdansk or in hybrid or remote mode from home if preferred.

Position overview:

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions. We have set our sights high – to design, develop, and manufacture the most technically advanced and reliable avionic components in the world. We are innovating and developing new products to address the future of urban air mobility as well as our next generation of commercial, tactical, and trainer aircraft markets.

As an AvionX Software Engineer you will join the AvionX Poland team consisting of highly skilled, high performing engineering team members supporting multiple product lines across Boeing AvionX .

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Utilizing modern programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered Boeing systems.
  2. Performing engineering activities including architecture design, requirements review, software development, integration, and testing.
  3. Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals.
  4. Influencing, innovating, and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services provided by Boeing.
  5. Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  1. 2 years of professional experience.
  2. Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  3. English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  1. Willingness to learn and work with new technologies.
  2. Experience in C++ or at least one other high-level modern programming language.
  3. Experience in developing web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
  4. Experience in virtualization techniques (VirtualBox, QEMU, Docker, etc.).
  5. Experience in embedded programming (Yocto Project, Device drivers for Linux etc.).
  6. Experience in debugging and analyzing Linux kernel operations.
  7. Collaborating in international and multi-national projects.

The ideal candidate would have prior engineering experience, preferably across multiple technologies, proactive approach, and the ability to optimize situations within the team to allow for successful technical execution.
