AVD Engineer

Your responsibilities

• Designed, deployed, and maintained Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, and application groups
• Implemented and managed FSLogix profile containers and image management (golden images)
• Automated deployments and operational tasks using PowerShell and Azure-native tooling
• Monitored performance, availability, and cost using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Troubleshot user access, performance, and latency issues in AVD environments
• Integrated AVD with Azure AD, on-premises Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune
• Ensured compliance with security, governance, and operational standards
• Collaborated with infrastructure, security, and service desk teams
• Maintained technical documentation and operational procedures

Our requirements

• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and administration
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
• Experience with FSLogix and Windows 10/11 multi-session
• Knowledge of Azure AD (Entra ID), Active Directory, and Group Policy
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Knowledge of Azure Automation and cost optimization strategies
• Experience with security tooling (Sentinel, Defender for Cloud)
• Exposure to alternative VDI platforms (Citrix, VMware Horizon)
