Embedded software development AUTOSAR Classic English
AUTOSAR SW Engineer is responsible for the development of embedded software in C/C++ programming language. In this role, the engineer (along with the development team) is responsible for the implementation and integration of software modules, as well as the configuration of the AUTOSAR system and its integration with hardware. These activities shall begin during the concept phase of a project and extend through the serial development phase, to the end of production.
As an intermediate level engineer, you will work independently with limited supervision to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using knowledge as well as judgement to make adaptations and modifications.
As a Senior Engineer, you will independently perform a wide variety of complex/advanced engineering work to include planning, designing, and carrying out work assignments, often serving as a technical authority of the department, with little to no supervision. You will mentor and guide less experienced team members.
Role responsibilities:
- Develop software requirements specifications and software functional specifications (including performing requirement analysis, software architecture design and optimization, data structure design, and low level software requirement development)
- Coordinate and participate in software design reviews and code reviews
- Document and archive software program releases in accordance with company software development process
- Work closely with a team of other highly skilled engineering professionals to solve cross-functional design issues and deliver top quality products to the end user
- Provide technical expertise on embedded software to multiple project teams, assisting in the resolution of product-based technical issues
Qualifications & Experience with:
- Embedded software development and/or software engineering
- C, strong programming skills and assembly languages with expertise in well-structured and documented analysis, design, and coding
- AUTOSAR configuration using vector tools (DaVinci Configurator Pro, DaVinci Developer) strongly preferred
- Debugging Davinci Configurator Pro or Developer issues with Trace32 required
- ECU and Microcontroller abstraction layers to develop, configure, and diagnose complex drivers
- Automotive CAN communications (UDS, XCP) and diagnostics
- CMMI and/or SPICE preferred
- Moderation and problem-solving techniques
- Working knowledge in computer-based software, strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiently written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- Experience with working with Canoe simulations
- Automotive CAN communications (UDS, XCP) and diagnostics
- Working knowledge of version control and bug tracking software preferably PTC preferred
