About the project

In CIB Banking, we heavily use Power Platform (i.e. PowerApps, Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc.) to deliver automated solutions. These solutions should follow software development best practices and governance including sound design, well-written code with appropriate documentation, testing, and maintaining automations in accordance with HSBC standards.

Automation Services Manager is responsible for driving and managing the delivery of solutions by automating and digitising business processes across different journeys in an agile environment. At the same time, he/she is also part of the Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) to support the operation of the governance body.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver automated solutions: Design, develop, and implement digital and automated workflows with Power Platform capabilities, such as Power Apps, Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop, Power BI, etc., as well as relevant approvals management and governance processes in accordance with HSBC standards.
  • End-to-end project delivery: Take ownership of automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager: Co-ordinate project plan, timelines and foster cross-functional teamwork.
  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their automation needs and requirements and provide regular updates on project status and milestones.
  • Operation with CoE: Support the operation of Power Platform CoE in HSBC, reviewing new business cases, solution design, POC platform related new features.
  • Continuous improvement: Collect and summarise feedback and improvements areas of delivery model from stakeholders, to enable continuous improvement. Stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.

Our requirements

  • Hands on experience on at least one of below Power Platform capabilities and other market leading automation/ digital tools: Power Apps; Power Automate/ Power Automate Desktop; Power BI; RPA (e.g. Blue Prism/ UiPath/ Automation Anywhere)- good to have.
  • Strong expertise in Power Platform and/or RPA adoption, and their use case assessment, implementation & delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of Agile frameworks.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Confluence and/or Jira and/or Monday.com.
  • Applicants should have an IT / CS / Tech background with either a relevant bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Applicants own any certificates below is highly preferable:Power Platform Solution Architect Expert; PL-500 Certificate: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer; AD01 Certificate: Blue Prism Developer; Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE good to have; SAFe Product Owner and Product Manager Certification - good to have.

Optional

  • Familiarity with CoE operation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CIB Banking industry is a plus.
  • Experience in programming languages and genAI is a plus.
