For one of our clients, we are seeking an Automation Engineer based in the office in Poznan.
You will become part of Internal Logistics. We are a diverse team with 6 different nationalities across 3 locations, mainly in Denmark and Poland. We have expertise in mechanical, electrical, automation, process engineering, and project management.
What you will be doing
We are improving our factories by integrating a WCS (Warehouse Control System), based on the TrakSYS platform.
- You will optimize and automate the flow of our semi-finished and finished products.
- You will be a key contributor throughout various project phases, from conceptual studies to design, testing, commissioning, and providing engineering support.
- Your responsibilities include working with technologies such as automatic storage and retrieval systems, autonomous mobile robots, automated guided vehicles, utilization of identification and labeling technologies, and truck loading and unloading solutions.
- Additionally, you will actively take part in large-scale logistical global projects, with a primary focus on Europe, Asia, and North America. Part of your job is traveling in Europe and perhaps North America and Asia, meeting with your colleagues and suppliers, and supervising the implementation of your projects. Expect to travel 60-80 days per year, with trips varying from a couple of days to a few weeks at a time. Know, however, that you will rarely be alone.
By nature, you are curious and initiative-taking in gathering relevant knowledge, examining, and solving problems. Being both quality- and result-oriented, you are eager to suggest solutions and get things done, though never at the expense of quality.
You prefer and collaborate well with others, no matter where theyre from or what they do. Further, youre skilled at communicating and making justified decisions, progressing your own projects smoothly or your teams.
Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this job role, we imagine that you have the following experience:
- Bachelors degree in Automation Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience, preferably within intralogistics solutions for the industry.
- Experience with Siemens Simatic Manager.
- Experience with Siemens TIA and WinCC version 7.5.
- Ability in critical thinking skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Engaged collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
