Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Perform study and design work for projects that may include:
  • programming control systems based on PLC controllers,
  • creating HMI visualizations,
  • preparation of technical documentation related to the developed software,
  • electrical cabinet design (ElproCad, SEE Electrical),
  • participation in software and hardware testing,
  • participation in system commissioning,
  • conduct a field survey to identify site conditions,
  • engineering calculations, including:
  • cost estimation
  • equipment selection
  • coordination with the design work of other disciplines
  • efficient use of company resources,
  • work with customer specifications, documents, vendor quotes, drawings and diagrams to create electrical designs for the customer,
  • communicate with the customer,
  • report to Electrical Design Department Manager,
  • support site teams on ongoing projects and provide authority over technical aspects of the projects,
  • supervise the commissioning of electrical systems, material requirements, and material selection.

Position requirements:

  • higher technical education, preferably in automation,
  • practical ability to program and configure PLC controllers (preferably Siemens, ABB) and visualization systems,
  • ability to read electrical diagrams,
  • experience in electrical cabinet design (Elpro CAD, SEE Electrical),
  • knowledge of industrial computer networks (Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus, etc.),
  • analytical thinking and creativity skills,
  • effective written and oral communication skills in English,
  • willingness to travel internationally to project sites when needed.
