Would you enjoy developing technology that your colleagues will use all over the world? Come and join us and bring your software development skills onto our factories in Europe and US to support them.
We are continuing trying to raise the quality of automation, which is already among the highest in our industry. And it does not stop there – you will be an important team member in the further development of new technologies for our “Factory of the Future”, where innovation rocks.
This is who we are
You will join a team of 8 colleagues working with software development within the Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management section, consisting of 30 people in total. Here, we develop the standardised technologies that colleagues all over ROCKWOOL use as a basis for developing localised technologies.
Creating and delivering on everything from machines and production equipment to entire production lines, we are highly specialised within our fields – and great at using each other’s skill sets to overcome the technological challenges we face.
“Helpfulness is a fundamental part of our DNA, and we naturally share our knowledge when we learn something new,” your future Section Manager Karsten Madsen explains.
This is the role
You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of our software systems for automation, control and manufacturing execution. Your assignments can vary from small machine deliveries and support cases to participation in large factory construction projects on a global scale.
You will be responsible for your own deliveries in ad hoc project teams with a hardware engineer, a mechanical engineer and a project manager. Typically, you will be involved in 2-5 projects parallel.
More specifically, you will:
Although your new desk will be located in the Nowy Rynek building in central Poznań, Poland, you will often travel primarily in Europe but could also be around North America and Asia – mostly to meet with colleagues and suppliers and to supervise the implementation of your projects. You can expect to travel up to 80 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time. Know, however, that you will rarely be alone.
This is what you offer
Since you will be the only one responsible for your area of expertise within your project teams, it is important that you have confidence in your own abilities as an engineer and can work independently as a programmer. At the same time, you enjoy collaborating with others, and you are curious to work with people with different nationalities.
We furthermore imagine that you:
What we offer:
By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company. We offer you a competitive salary, permanent contract after the probation period, development package, team building events, activity-based office in Poznan’s city center in the new prestigious office building – Nowy Rynek. The building is recognized as a building without barriers, which means that it is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
Our compensation package on employment contracts includes:
… and while in the office you can also use modern office space with beautiful view and high standard furniture, bicycle parking facilities & showers, chill-out rooms with PlayStation, football table, pool table, board games, subsidized canteen with delicious food & fruit.
