Position: Automation Engineer
Location: Kraków/ Hybrid 
(2 days Office / 3 days Remote)

Contract Type: B2B Contracting 
Rate: 200 – 240 PLN/hour (net)

What You’ll Be Doing:

? Automation Design & Development

  • Implement monitoring and observability solutions for products, ensuring full automation aligned with stakeholder requirements.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, tools, and workflows to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.
  • Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to improve and enhance existing systems.

☁ Infrastructure Management

  • Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement automation across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Optimize and maintain automated deployments with a focus on performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Monitor automation systems to proactively detect issues and apply preventive measures.

⚙ CI/CD – Continuous Integration & Deployment

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment lifecycle.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and development teams to embed automation throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Automate testing processes to support high-quality software releases.

? Scripting & Programming

  • Write and maintain scripts using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Develop custom automation solutions tailored to the organization’s unique needs.
  • Ensure that all scripts and tools are well-documented and follow best practices.

? Troubleshooting & Optimization

  • Quickly identify and resolve automation-related issues to reduce downtime and disruptions.
  • Continuously improve automation workflows to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Perform root cause analysis on automation failures and implement corrective actions.

? Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and drive initiatives forward.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of quality and improvement.

? Documentation & Best Practices

  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and best practices.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Proven experience in automation engineering, particularly in on-prem infrastructure and system automation.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks — ideally Ansible and Jenkins.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, with experience implementing and managing them.
  • Experience working with on-prem distributed platforms — especially Linux and virtual machines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex automation issues.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Bonus: Experience with APIs, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.
