Overview
At Contec, we make industrial processes future‑proof. Join our Industrial IT team in Lodz as an Associate System Engineer to install, migrate and maintain industrial server‑client platforms, networking, security and mobility solutions. You will work closely with our MOM and MCS departments.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of all ICT aspects of projects and report to the project manager.
- Standardise ICT component selection, configuration and documentation.
- Consider performance, compatibility and security (ISA‑99) in solutions.
- Advise the sales department on project‑related ICT systems.
- Set up and hand over ICT systems to the project manager, covering servers, OS, network, client and software.
- Document all delivered systems accurately.
- Provide ongoing ICT support for the delivered systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics‑ICT, Applied Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years of experience in a similar role.
- Initiative, autonomy, and strong time‑management skills.
- Analytical, critical, and problem‑solving mindset.
- Assertive, communicative, and customer‑oriented.
- Team player with ability to work independently.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Strong interest or knowledge of Dell and HPE Servers and Storage, VMware virtualisation, Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure, and Cisco networks.
