Associate, Reconciliation II at BNY in Wrocław. Join our Reconciliation team to analyze and resolve reconciliation discrepancies, drive process improvements, and support stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of reconciliations, deciphering complex breaks between systems, clients, and institutions for securities, cash and/or derivatives.
- Conduct root‑cause investigations, analyze exception trends, enter reconciliation data, and manage aging to ensure timely resolution.
- Review work completed by junior staff and serve as the first escalation point for complex exceptions.
- Assist in scoping and defining operational requirements and contribute to project requests aimed at enhancing reconciliation processes and systems using AI and digital tools.
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Participate in user acceptance testing for new or enhanced reconciliation tools, validating that existing processes remain intact.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders in other groups to identify issues, propose process improvements, and implement solutions.
- Provide informal guidance to less‑experienced staff; may supervise a small to medium‑sized reconciliation team or be responsible for specific supervisory review and approval tasks.
- Own the timeliness and quality of deliverables.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work under pressure while consistently meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong multitasking, organizational and prioritization skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with data consistency and correctness.
- Team player with proactive, goal‑oriented mindset and motivation to resolve problems.
- Adaptability to change and self‑training initiative.
- Technical knowledge of financial instruments (equities, options, CFD, swaps, forwards, bonds, interest‑rate swaps, credit default swaps).
