Shell’s Formulation and Component Lifecycle Management (FCLM) team is a key part of the Product Management and Additives Supply organization. This role supports Shell Lubricants’ global commercial business, operating in over 110 countries. As an Associate Global Formulation Specialist, you will help maintain the integrity and accuracy of lubricants formulations and raw material data, ensuring compliance and smooth operations across manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory requirements.

This position is a fixed-term assignment with a duration of 12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lubricants formulations and raw materials data throughout their lifecycle in line with quality standards and Shell processes.
  • Implement change requests promptly and transparently, including introductions, revisions, and portfolio health activities.
  • Monitor raw materials and formulations portfolio health to reduce complexity across the supply chain.
  • Support Global Product Managers in managing product portfolios effectively.
  • Collaborate with Technology Managers on formulation portfolio management.
  • Build strong relationships with raw material suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data management processes.
  • Due to the global nature of this role, occasional meetings out of normal office hours may happen. The opportunity for flexible hours is welcomed.

Requirements

  • Degree in technical sciences (preferably Chemistry), Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Strong ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders such as customers or suppliers.
  • Curiosity and interest in data management and analysis.
  • Quick learner with problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Experience in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel for reporting, and PowerPoint).
  • English language proficiency at minimum C1 level.
