Full‑time temporary position at grade 4/5 for 1 year with the European Investment Bank (EIB) Legal Directorate (JU) – Legal Department, EU Operations – Northern Europe Division (NE) headquartered in Luxembourg. Must be present in the office regularly. Relocation support available.
This temporary replacement assignment does not anticipate extension or conversion. Interviews are scheduled for early January 2026.
The Northern Europe Division (NE) handles legal documentation and issues for projects across Northern Europe including Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, and the EFTA countries. The Lawyer will assist the Head of Division and Head of Department with the Head of Division and others to provide legal support to the operational directorates and carry out tasks within the division’s remit. The role offers exposure to various EIB lending products, negotiation with internal and external clients, and teamwork.
The Lawyer, internally referred to as (Associate) Officer Legal Services, reports to the Head of Division and collaborates with division colleagues in line with established priorities. The position may involve travel for negotiations and signatures of legal documentation and contracts.
