NOTICE OF THE COMPETITION

FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PSYCHOLOGY)

at the Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz State Academy

State University of Applied Sciences in Jarosław (PANS in Jarosław)

I hereby announce a competition for the position of assistant professor in the group of full-time teaching staff at the Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz State University of Applied Sciences in Jarosław. The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018. (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).

Job description/scope of duties:

• carrying out a teaching assignments,
• conducting research
• preparation and implementation of scientific and commercial grants,
• active participation in the academic, didactic and organisational work of the Department;
• Qualification requirements:
• having a doctoral degree in the field of social sciences, in the discipline of psychology,
• experience in conducting teaching classes with students,
• scientific achievements in the field of personality psychology/psychology of individual differences.
• Documents required:
• declaration of participation in the competition
• application addressed to the Rector,
• copy of diplomas: MA, PhD,
• personal information form for candidates applying for employment,
• declaration of no criminal record,
• consent clause for job applicants,
• list of scientific, didactic and organisational achievements,
• a declaration made by the candidate that the Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz State University of Applied Sciences in Jarosław will be the primary place of work in the event of winning the competition

statement of availability;

• Place and deadline for submission of documents:
• in person at the Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz National Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław, ul. Czarnieckiego 16, 37-500 Jarosław (Rektorat building, office, room no. 1) with the note Faculty of Humanities - COMPETITION – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PSYCHOLOGY),
• by letter to the following address: Fr. Bronisław Markiewicz State University of Applied Sciences in Jarosław, ul. Czarnieckiego 16, 37-500 Jarosław with the note Faculty of Humanities - COMPETITION – ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PSYCHOLOGY),
• possibility of obtaining additional remuneration for creative work, i.e. implementation of external and internal grants aimed at improving the quality of education.

The deadline for submitting documents will be met provided they are received by the University by January 22, 2026. Templates of the required documents can be downloaded from the website www.pwste.edu.pl .

The University reserves the right to include the presentation of a lecture (concept of exercises) as one of the criteria for determining the competition in order to verify teaching skills.

Foreign language documents submitted to the competition must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator. In the case of obtaining a degree outside Poland, a document certifying the equivalence of the degree and title held with the Polish equivalent should be attached (if the issuance of such a document is provided for in the relevant legislation). Good knowledge of Polish is required.

The University reserves the right to cancel the competition process at any stage without giving any reason. The competition results, which will be announced by February 17, 2026, are not tantamount to establishing an employment relationship with PANS in Jarosław. The final decision is made by His Magnificence the Rector.
