Employment group: teaching
Teaching hours: 360h
Duties:
- performing teaching duties in full‑time and part‑time programs in accordance with the schedule (conducting all forms of classes with students, including lectures, on selected weekdays and selected weekends)
- readiness to teach courses in social psychology in English
- developing and improving syllabi and teaching programs
- carrying out organizational tasks related to teaching (creating syllabi, archiving student work, assigning grades, meeting with students during office hours/consultations)
- maintaining and enhancing teaching competencies by participating in internal training sessions organized by the Faculty/University, e.g., during the Academic Competencies Weeks
- supervising student internships in the field of social psychology
- conducting master’s thesis seminars in social psychology
- participating in master’s thesis committees (serving as chair, reviewing master’s theses)
- observing and evaluating classes conducted by assistants and adjunct faculty
- attending academic meetings and events dedicated to issues related to the courses taught
- contributing to the dissemination of research findings and scientific projects among students, particularly those conducted within SWPS University
- supporting the work of student research clubs and student organizations
- willingness to perform assigned administrative and organizational functions and engagement in organizational activities within the Faculty of Psychology in Warsaw
- actively engaging in the activities of the Faculty
- participating in meetings of the Department of Social Psychology and meetings of the Practical Social Psychology specialization team
- taking part in university collegial bodies, advisory boards, and committees
- building relationships with the social and economic environment
- supporting efforts to maintain strong relationships with alumni
- undertaking activities that contribute to institutional development and teaching advancement at the University
- participating in marketing and promotional activities on behalf of the University
Requirements:
- doctoral degree in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of psychology (to be obtained no later than February 28, 2026) as well as a master’s degree in psychology
- minimum of three years of experience in teaching at a higher education institution (lectures, seminars, workshops) and preparing teaching materials
- fluent command of Polish at a minimum C1 level
- advanced command of English at a minimum B2 level
- willingness to work on weekends
- research interests in the field of social psychology
- scientific achievements in social psychology evidenced by publications in peer‑reviewed journals with an impact factor
Preferred qualifications:
- experience in organizing the teaching process (planning and organizing academic courses, preparing regulations, procedures, and instructional guidelines related to teaching, implementing new academic programs)
- teaching competencies confirmed by certificates or attestations of completion of courses or other forms of training that enhance qualifications in conducting academic classes, training sessions, and workshops
- awards and distinctions for teaching activities, as well as teaching performance evaluations from previous workplaces
- experience in conducting training sessions, workshops, or coaching
- participation in national and international research grants (as principal investigator and/or research team member)
- participation in academic conferences, including international conferences
