Offer Description

Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor in the group of research and teaching employees of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn should demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Doctorate (PhD) in agricultural sciences.
• Fulfillment of the qualification requirements for the position of assistant professor as specified in Appendix No. 4 (Table 5a) to the Statute of UWM in Olsztyn.
• Fluent use of English for teaching activities.
• Fluent speaking and writing in Polish.
• Knowledge of research methods related to pests of field crops and storage pests.
• Experience in identifying species from the Carabidae family.

Specific requirements and information about the competition:

• Applications must be submitted to the Deans Office of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at ul. Oczapowskiego 8, 10-719 Olsztyn; the decision will be made by 31.12.2025.
• The salary for the position is 6 841 PLN.
• The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn shall be the candidate’s main workplace, as stipulated in art. 120 of the Act of 20 July 2018 (Law on Higher Education and Science, Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).
• The University reserves the right to cancel the competition by the Rector without giving reasons.
• The competition has a one‑stage character.
• Not informing a candidate about the results of the competition is tantamount to rejecting the offer.
