Offer Description

RECTOR of the Jagiellonian University announces a selection procedure for the position of an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR.

Requirements

The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in art. 113, 116 sec. 2 item 3) of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science, and in accordance with § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:

1. have at least a doctoral degree;
2. have appropriate scientific achievements;
3. take an active part in academic life.

Additional requirements and expectations:

1. Competence in the field of contemporary epistemology practiced in the spirit of analysis.
2. Competence in the issue of the problem of disagreement between epistemically equal entities (epistemic peer disagreement) would be particularly desirable.
3. Meet the NCN requirements for persons employed in research projects.

Selection Process

The first stage of the competition procedure is the formal verification of the submitted documents. Offers that pass the formal verification are subject to substantive assessment, during which a recruitment interview may be conducted (directly or via electronic communication channels), after prior arrangement of the date with the Candidate.

The Candidate has the right to appeal against the negative assessment of the Selection Committee within 7 days from the date of receipt of the information.
