THE VOCAL AND ACTING DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, FOR WHICH THE CHOPIN UNIVERSITY OF MUSIC WILL BE THE FIRST PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT IN THE FIELD OF TEACHING THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:

Skills/Qualifications

1. The competition is open to persons who:

  • Meet the requirements specified in Articles 113, 114, 115 and 116 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 1162)
  • Hold at least a Doctor of Musical Arts degree
  • Have experience in teaching the following subjects: Solo singing
  • Have artistic achievements and many years of experience working at a university.
  • Know at least two foreign languages
Specific Requirements

Required documents:

  • Application for participation in the competition addressed to the Dean of the Vocal and Acting Faculty
  • Certified copy of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree
  • Documentation of artistic and teaching work
  • Personal questionnaire (form in accordance with the UMFC template)
  • Statement of consent to the processing of personal data and documents submitted in connection with participation in the competition
  • (form in accordance with the UMFC template, available for download from the website)
  • Statement of no criminal record for intentional crimes or intentional fiscal offences (in accordance with the UMFC template)

Eligibility criteria

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting classes
  • Participating in committees conducting assessments, tests and examinations during the session, in accordance with the programme and schedule of studies and entrance examinations
  • Conducting and reviewing theses
Selection process

  • Date of competition announcement: 29 December 2025
  • The competition will be decided by 3 February 2026 by a competition committee appointed for this purpose.
