Offer Description
The University is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in the field of Health Sciences. The selected individual will engage in scientific research, teaching, and academic activities, contributing to the development of knowledge in health sciences, with particular emphasis on national security and crisis management.
Main duties:
- Undertaking research activities in the discipline of health sciences, with a focus on national security and crisis management.
- Preparing research papers for publication in recognized scientific journals.
- Conducting lectures, seminars, and practical classes for students.
- Developing and updating educational materials to support the teaching process.
- Presenting research findings at national and international scientific conferences.
- Participating in activities aimed at promoting scientific knowledge to the broader public.
- Performing tasks related to the organization and documentation of scientific and educational activities.
- Cooperating with public administration bodies and representatives of the socio-economic environment to apply research outcomes in practice.
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in Health Sciences.
- Scientific achievements in the field of health sciences, demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, and participation in research projects.
- Demonstrated predisposition for teaching and the ability to conduct classes effectively.
- Experience in the field of national security, particularly in crisis management.
- Proven knowledge of cybersecurity issues, confirmed by completed training or certification in the field.
- Proficiency in using computer software required for research, teaching, and administrative activities.
- Proficiency in English to effectively engage in academic communication and scientific collaboration.
- Knowledge of the Polish language is required for foreign candidates to facilitate communication with students and staff.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Academic qualification: PhD in Health Sciences.
- Scientific achievements: Documented research output in health sciences.
- Teaching competence: Proven predisposition for teaching and academic work.
- Professional experience: Experience in national security, particularly in crisis management.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: Completed training in cybersecurity.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in computer software related to research and teaching.
- Language Proficiency: English – advanced level for academic communication; Polish – required for foreign candidates.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with external stakeholders.
Selection process
The candidate for the position is selected by the selection committee after reviewing the documentation and conducting a recruitment interview. Until its deadline, the recruitment process may be ceased or annulled by the Rector without giving any justification. The decision to employ a candidate is made by the Rector. In justified cases, the Rector has the right not to employ the candidate selected in the recruitment process. Recruitment results do not constitute grounds for raising any claims by the candidates against the UR, employment complaints, in particular. The selection committee has the right to conduct an interview with the candidates.
