Offer Description

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

  • PhD degree in chemical sciences or biological sciences;
  • Knowledge in the discipline of chemical and/or biological sciences in the areas of: materials chemistry, biomaterials, biological property testing using in vitro methods, confirmed by the subject matter of original scientific publications;
  • Practical experience in preparation and characterization of biopolymer-based materials; solid knowledge and experience in conducting and interpreting biological tests assessing bioactivity and cytotoxicity;
  • Experience in leading research projects funded from external sources or participation in externally funded projects; national or international scientific internships will be considered an additional asset;
  • Ability to write and edit scientific articles in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting biological research on ferulic acid dimers;
  • Development of scaffolds based on collagen, hyaluronic acid, and modified ferulic acid;
  • Performing comprehensive biological analyses of scaffolds to evaluate their bioactivity, cytotoxicity, and antibacterial properties using advanced in vitro techniques;
  • Organization and maintenance of laboratory order, including preparation of solutions, washing glassware, and maintaining cleanliness of the workstation.

Employment conditions:

  • Duration of employment: 30 months;
  • Salary: 11,666 PLN gross/gross (monthly rate);
  • Work within the NCN-SONATA research project entitled: "Biomimetic scaffolds modified with ferulic acid dedicated to necrotic wound therapy";
  • The candidate must not receive remuneration under another employment contract (including contracts with employers based outside Poland) and must not receive other remuneration from funds allocated under NCN direct costs during the postdoc employment period.
