As our Assistant Business Controller, you are a part of a team responsible for the financial and business controlling and reporting of the global organization of our legal entities in Everiss and Amega that are selling Specialty Fertilizer Products as part of ICL’s Growing Solutions division. Your main focus lies in the Region Continental Europe, MEA and Asia, and part of the legal entities of this region.

In this function, you will report to the Head of Global Finance, and are part of a team of 10 finance professionals. You will support the Business Controllers based in The Netherlands. In a new set-up you will be a team of 2 finance professionals based in Poland. You have the opportunity to set-up new ways of working and create more synergies in the overall finance group.

About the job

We offer a challenging role in an international environment where you will support the development of new products and processes that will make the strong growth ambitions of ICL become true. You will support multiple legal entities and need to support the basis of the business control function. There is the opportunity to grow and develop your skills. Your main activities will be to support sales and cost control and closing activities.

Furthermore, you will be busy with:

• Analysis of month-end, quarterly and results including regular business reviews for management and support reporting for all business controllers.
• Coordinate and prepare periodic forecasts, annual budget and 5-year planning.
• Deliver high quality business support, financial reporting and analysis about sales, margins, profitability by product group, customer, regions, brands.
• Deliver high quality business and cost control by supporting Marketing, R&D and Central departments.
• Execute balance sheet reviews and internal controls.
• Drive and support business process improvement initiatives.
• Active participation in business, IT and financial-related projects.
• Drive working capital positions to the optimal situation.
• Other ad-hoc controlling activities within EMEA-APAC part of Global Everris.
• Supporting several upcoming projects: ERP Upgrade and BI development in Europe.

About you

You are highly analytical, accurate, supportive, and flexible finance and business control professional. You have the ambition and potential to grow into positions of increasing responsibility. You are hands-on and results-oriented, driving the business to a higher level.

• Business Economics / Controlling at bachelor’s level, Master preferred.
• Relevant working experience in an international and profitability-driven company.
• Strong financial and trend analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS accounting guidelines and internal control framework.
• Excellent proficiency in the use of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP, QAD, Hyperion/HFM, and BI a plus.
• Systems aptitude - to efficiently produce reports and therefore spend time on analysis rather than creation of data.

Language: Written and verbal communication skills in English.
