Job Description

Overall Purpose

This position will be responsible for executing the whole district purchase process: client search and price negotiations. Additionally, the role will identify profitable trading opportunities in the market based on information gathered from the physical side of the business.

Main accountabilities

  • Monitoring grain and oilseed market development and pricing.
  • Conclusion of purchase transactions.
  • Control over the execution of purchase transactions.
  • Contacts with counterparties and negotiations.
  • Primary work with silos regarding re‑registration of property rights and loading of goods.
  • Relevant LD price calculation.
  • Ensure data collection for LDCU trading and research.
  • Provide commercial and support functions with updated market information.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in grain trade or other relevant commodity trading.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good negotiating skills and results orientation.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to select relevant information from a flow of information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
  • Understanding of developments in and application of the grain market in the country.
  • Detail‑oriented.
  • Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Higher education/Bachelors degree.

Languages

  • Polish – native.
  • English – upper‑intermediate (preferable).

Technical / Functional skills

  • Understanding of the supply and demand relationship.
  • Strong grasp of the Polish agricultural market, its participants, and stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical skills.

Other skills and competencies

  • Eager to grow personally and professionally.
  • Open for changes, readiness to accept different points of view.
  • Team player.
