We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team, specializing in testing desktop applications with TCP/IP network connectivity and hardware integration. The ideal candidate will have strong networking knowledge, a solid understanding of hardware components, and experience with software testing methodologies. This role requires the ability to work independently to plan, execute, and document test activities, as well as to collaborate closely with the development team to identify issues, clarify requirements, and ensure high-quality product delivery. This role combines expertise in networking protocols, hardware understanding, and strong testing methodology knowledge to ensure the quality and reliability of applications across different hardware configurations and network environments.
Design and execute test cases for desktop applications focusing on network connectivity, TCP/IP protocols, and hardware interactions
Validate client-server communications and data transmission integrity
Test hardware peripheral connections and interactions
Perform functional, hardware compatibility, regression, and integration testing
Document and track software and hardware-related defects
Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation
Collaborate with developers for issue reproduction and debugging
Validate application behavior under different network conditions and hardware configurations
Monitor and analyze system resource usage and performance
Monitor and validate bugs reported by clients
requirements-expected :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in software testing
Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols and networking concepts
Strong knowledge of computer hardware architecture
Experience in using network analysis tools (Wireshark, Fiddler, OpenWRT)
Experience with hardware diagnostic tools
Understanding of client-server architecture
Knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in software testing methodologies
Experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
Strong communication and team collaboration abilities
Experience in troubleshooting connectivity issues
Ability to work independently
Availability for sporadic work-related travel
