Job Description:

Join our team as an Application Operations Engineer API!

In your role as Application Engineer, you will be a member of an international team who are developing, maintaining, and operating a new application around individual payments transactions using API and Cloud services. You will be responsible for understanding applications, data flows, and their business purpose to integrate new modules, changes, or releases and responsible for the whole operations. You support various installation instances (integration/acceptance and production environment). Your main task will be to ensure processing and transport of deployment packages from development to production environments and to maintain stable operation of production. You handle incidents, problems, and changes while communicating with developers and other operation teams.

What you will be doing?

• Acting as a broker between the users side (collect, evaluate, analyze requirements for error correction enhancements) and the vendor of payments software who fulfill those requirements.
• Controlling and monitoring the decentralized Java application.
• Implementation of change requests in the production process via CI/CD pipeline.
• Assurance of uninterrupted availability of the systems and applications.
• Manual intervention in automatic processes in conjunction with the project manager or on request.
• Handling of changes, problems, and incidents.
• Support the rollouts in production.

Which technology & skills are important for us?

• Good knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows Server 2016 and 2022, Windows 10, Linux.
• Basic knowledge of Openshift (Experience with container management systems like Kubernetes, Openshift, Ansible, or Docker).
• Basic knowledge of Cloud: MS Azure (Nice to have experience with cloud Azure alternative with AWS, GCP).
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD Deployment Tools.
• Basic knowledge of API (Experience with monitoring of API, deployment of API).
