About the project

The Application Developer role is principally responsible for the development and delivery of applications to the user base. Responsible for implementing and designing low code solutions User Interface and API integrations for globally used applications specifically focused on the client facing activities.

Your responsibilities

  • Work closely with solution architect, business analysts and product team to review user stories during sprint planning and analyze implementation methods / architectures to provide accurate estimates for development.
  • Transform designs and requirements into a shippable product by writing high-quality code.Apply design and coding best practices to develop superior components and solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and work in an Agile environment.
  • Design and implementation of applications integrated via APIs hosted in the Cloud infrastructure.
  • Design and develop database objects to support applications.
  • Translate requirement specifications into Appian process model prototypes and solutions.
  • Problem solver and ability to estimate and size Appian business requirements.
  • Debug issues in Interfaces and Process Models.
  • Participating in reviews, test plans reviews, and release postmortems.
  • Organize and manage your workload effectively to deliver assignments on time.

Our requirements

  • To be excellent at problem solving and find creative solutions to some of our businesses most complex technical concerns.
  • Software development experience. (Minimum 3 years of experience)
  • Appian Certified Senior Developer certification preferred.
  • Senior-level experience with low code solutions and ability to write complex code, with Appian preferred.
  • Strong interest or understanding of Appian Objects such as Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web API, Interface Rules, and Process Models
  • Strong knowledge of Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Hands-on experience writing Appian Plugins (Smart Services, Function Plugins, and Servlet Plugins) Connected Systems, and Component UI Plugins & API integration preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and relational databases.
  • Understanding and hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies. Strong desire to learn customer business processes.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environments and situations.
  • Effectively prioritizes work and has well-honed problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Experience in insurance related industry preferred, but not required.
  • Business proficiency of the English language required
