Position Overview

The Application Analyst is to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for the Salesforce platform.

As a primary support contact for application end-users, the Application Analyst will work to identify issues that arise in the application area, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them. The holder of the role will also provide end user training and education on Salesforce processes as well as creation of support and documentation.  

The Application Analyst will further collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and application developers to perform impact analysis of desired changes, build and test systems changes, and identify areas of improvement associated with platform performance and opportunities to enable business processes and requirements.

The place of work is Warsaw, Poland.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Be responsible for Salesforce applications configuration and maintenance.
  • Provide level 2-3 production support for issues entered into issue tracking systems.
  • Troubleshoot problems and questions, and provide regular updates on status.
  • Identify issues that arise in the application area, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them.
  • Contribute to design and configuration, upgrades, and improvements for Salesforce applications using established processes and procedures incl. by coordinating internal and external development teams.
  • Estimate and assess impact of requested changes to the Salesforce platform and the technical complexity, and provide recommendation re. viability and prioritization.
  • When working with development teams: communicate requirements, monitor progress, ensure correct prioritization and constant feedback loop, be the point of contact in case of questions or roadblocks.
  • Conduct thorough testing and be the gatekeeper for deployment of new developments into production.
  • Review the status of projects and issues with the supervisor and project leadership.
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows; proactively identify opportunities to improve business workflow with technology improvements.
  • Develop new processes and procedures in partnership with business teams.
  • Help develop and maintain training materials, participate in trainings and work with end users to help drive adoption of new functionalities.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field as outlined in the essential duties; or high school degree / 4th level vocational qualification in Computer Science or Business Administration and 5 years of relevant experience related to the essential duties of the position in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions, either in an application analyst or project delivery role.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT processes including user requirements gathering, incident management, change management, IT project management.
  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework) and communicate in English on technical topics relating to application configuration and maintenance.
  • Strong computer skills incl. proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business intuition, and organizational ability.
  • Ability and willingness to deliver high quality work even if facing time pressure.
  • Ability to communicate information in a clear, concise and structured way in a cross-cultural and complex matrix environment.
  • Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and be proactive.
  • Adaptability, openness to change, and flexibility with respect to changing needs and circumstances.
  • Ability and willingness to broaden and deepen the knowledge of relevant applications as well as stay informed of technology trends and solutions and analyze for possible application in our environment.
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours (on late evenings/weekends) if required in exceptional cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the country of work without visa sponsorship.

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting Salesforce and other related technologies (e.g. Mulesoft, Tableau, Apttus, Informatics, ICRT).
  • Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I certification.
  • Understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and experience working as an application analyst, business analyst, or quality analyst on technology development projects.
  • Certification in or knowledge of OnBase, Epic EHR system, Epic MyChart, EpicCare Link.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in working with HL7 health data application interfaces.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience in working in a global company with business users located across multiple time zones.
  • Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine. 
  • Knowledge of other languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
