The Application Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, security, performance and system stability of the IBM Planning Analytics environment. This is a technical platform role.
This role ensures:
• System availability and uptime
• User access control and security compliance
• Technical performance optimisation
• Effective upgrades and updates management
• Support and incident resolution
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Administration
• Manage PA environments (Dev / Test / Prod)
• Perform system upgrades and patching
• Monitor server performance and cube processing
• Manage backup and recovery processes
2. Security & Access Management
• Administer user roles and permissions
• Maintain segregation of duties
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies
• Conduct periodic access reviews and report findings to Systems Accountant
3. Performance & Optimisation
• Monitor cube performance and feeder efficiency
• Manage data loads and batch jobs; raise issues with the Systems Accountant
• Support troubleshooting of performance bottlenecks
4. Technical Support
• Act as Subject matter support for PA issues
• Diagnose system errors and resolve incidents
• Work with IBM support when required
• Document configuration and technical architecture
5. Change & Release Management
• Support migration between environments
• Validate technical components of enhancements
• Ensure system stability during planning cycles
