About the project

We are looking for a skilled API Engineer to be a key contributor in an API transformation project. The role focuses on building and integrating services onto a central API Gateway platform, including OAuth and a new identity provider, creating a secure, standardized, and scalable entry point for API traffic. The position is ideal for engineers who excel at platform-level solutions and enabling other teams to succeed.

Your responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, scalable REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Integrating internal and external systems to create seamless and efficient workflows
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate API testing and deployment
• Implementing observability for APIs, including distributed tracing, metrics, and logging
• Ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of APIs through proper authorization, policies, and best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver API products and provide guidance for onboarding services

Our requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in API development and integration
• Hands-on experience with API Gateway products and integrating systems with Identity Providers (e.g., Keycloak) using OAuth 2.0 and OIDC
• Practical experience implementing REST APIs with Java and Spring Boot
• Familiarity with microservice architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automating API testing
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred), GitHub, and API observability (traces, metrics, logs)
• Fluent Polish required
• Residing in Poland required
