AP Accountant

About the Role

As a CBRE BSO AP accountant, you will be responsible for invoice coding and processing within our accounting system. You will manage employee expense claims, and support the vendor setup process, ensuring supplier data is accurate and current. You will take charge of preparing and executing payments, while also reconciling vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.

You will actively participate in month-end closing for AP and Expenses. You will also help drive continuous improvement by documenting processes and procedures – including internal accounting manuals, reporting guidelines – to elevate accuracy and compliance across the team.

Your role will extend beyond routine tasks: you will support the finance team in a range of accounting activities, maintain historical records to support internal audits, and embrace ad-hoc queries.

This job is part of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function.Weare responsible for reviewing and paying invoices and cash management activities such as reconciliation and bank account reviews.

What You’ll Do

  • Coding and processing invoices in accounting system (MyBuy, People Soft)
  • Processing of employee expenses
  • Participating in vendor setup process
  • Preparing of payments (invoices, employee expenses, payrolls, taxes)
  • Preparing of reports, statistics, etc.
  • Performing AP and Expense month‑end close
  • Documenting processes and procedures; preparation of internal accounting / reporting procedures
  • Supporting finance team in other accounting activities
  • Processing variety ad‑hoc queries

What You’ll Need

  • 1‑3 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting (AP) or Finance and Accounting degree
  • Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must
  • Experience with People Soft or other ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Exact)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset
  • Proactive approach and prioritization to meet critical deadlines
