About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Analytics Engineer with strong SQL expertise and coaching abilities. This role will be instrumental in guiding analysts on best practices in working with data, helping them interpret complex metrics, and navigating the data warehouse effectively. You will act as a bridge between analysts, business users, and data engineers, ensuring data quality, diagnosing discrepancies, and supporting investigations into key business metrics.

responsibilities :
Provide advanced SQL support to analysts, ensuring efficient querying, data extraction, and transformation.
Coach analysts on best practices for working with data, empowering them to improve their SQL skills and analytical capabilities.
Help business users understand key metrics, investigate anomalies, and provide actionable insights.
Support data quality initiatives, identifying and resolving data inconsistencies.
Work closely with data engineers to pass on requirements and ensure the accuracy and integrity of datasets.
Assist in diagnosing data discrepancies and metric anomalies, helping stakeholders understand “why this metric is what it is.”
Act as a liaison between analysts and data engineers to optimize database structures and ensure seamless data accessibility.

Expert-level SQL skills – ability to write and optimize complex queries, work with large datasets, and understand database structures.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills – experience training analysts on SQL best practices and guiding them in data analysis.
Experience working with web traffic data and business metrics.
Familiarity with data warehouses and data modeling concepts.
Ability to collaborate with analysts, business users, and data engineers to drive data-driven decision-making.
Strong problem-solving mindset – ability to diagnose metric fluctuations and investigate data issues effectively.
