Your role in the Team

Youll be joining our Business Intelligence team within the Data & AI department, where we play a crucial role in building the foundation for both traditional analytics and cutting-edge AI solutions. Our team of analytics engineers and BI analysts operates across three global locations - Krakow, Johannesburg, and Bangalore, delivering critical insights that power our global trading operations.

As part of the wider Data & AI department, were not just building regular dashboards - were creating robust data models that support both business reporting and advanced analytics use cases, including GenAI applications and data science initiatives. Were currently leading an exciting transformation of our analytics capabilities, migrating from Tableau to Looker while expanding our dbt data modeling practices to create a unified, trustworthy data foundation that serves all analytical needs across the organization.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable data models using dbt that empower business users across the organization with self-service analytics capabilities
• Lead the technical implementation of our Looker migration strategy, ensuring seamless transition of business-critical dashboards
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient data models
• Maintain and improve data integrity through robust testing and documentation
• Mentor team members on data modeling best practices and modern analytics engineering approaches
• Partner with data engineering teams to optimize our data pipeline architecture

Who we’re looking for?

• Someone who can lead the design and implementation of our data models, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, maintainability, and usability for our business users
• A data modeling expert who will drive our migration from Tableau to Looker, ensuring our dashboards and analytics capabilities not only survive the transition but emerge stronger and more scalable
• A collaborative team player who will work closely with stakeholders across HR, Product, Sales, and Marketing domains to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that enable self-service analytics
• An advocate for data quality who will implement and maintain robust testing frameworks, documentation, and governance practices to ensure our data models remain reliable and trusted
• A technical mentor who can help elevate the teams capabilities in modern data modeling practices and tools, particularly in dbt and Looker

What you’ll need for this role

• Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in analytics engineering or similar roles within data teams
• Expert knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques, with a track record of building scalable solutions
• Strong proficiency with dbt, including experience with testing frameworks and documentation
• Familiarity with Looker (LookML) or similar BI tools (previous Tableau experience is a plus)
• Basic Python programming skills for data processing and analysis
• Experience working with cloud data platforms, particularly Google BigQuery
• Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders
• A passion for data quality and attention to detail
