Analytics & Category Insights Lead

For our client, an international FMCG corporation with brands used and recognised worldwide, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Analytics & Category Insights Lead.

The Analytics & Category Insights Lead is responsible for leading the analytics process for assigned categories and retail environments in order to identify and develop recommendations to drive brands growth and maximize category revenue in Poland and the Baltics, working in close collaboration with retail marketing teams and external customers. You will be the key partner for the retail marketing RE lead, in order to drive growth for the strategic RE / category you have been assigned to.

Work cross-functionally with Retail Marketing/ Hub / Customer Development/ Insights to ensure alignment and execution against the category and brand strategies, defining and deploying the 5Ps and shopper solutions for the category.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Insights & Conclusion-Driving Synthesise complex datasets (Nielsen/IQVIA, Shopper data, etc) to provide a "single source of truth." You don’t just report numbers; you tell the story of why performance changed and what we must do next.

Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Identify "white space" opportunities through deep dives into Price-Pack Architecture (PPA) and Mix Analysis. You will be responsible for uncovering levers to improve Net Revenue Realisation.

Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO) Analyse the effectiveness of past promotional calendars by deep diving into promotional vs baseline sales data. You will recommend optimisations for frequency, depth of discount, and mechanic types to maximize ROI and SOM growth and minimize cannibalization.

5Ps Execution & Gap Analysis Track the execution of the 5Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, and Persuasion) across key Retail Environments (RE). You will pinpoint execution gaps at the regional or account level and provide the sales team with "battle maps" to close them.

Category Management (CatMan) & Planograms Develop data-driven planogram recommendations that optimise shelf flow and share of shelf. You will track the performance of these layouts post-implementation to ensure they drive category growth.

Developing leading cd-edge tools and insights, merchandising materials and in-store programmes for effective shelf management and for inducing shoppers to purchase Category products in-store

Share category knowledge internally/externally (build local Category knowledge taking advantage of global categories and add local insights, newsletters, customer workshops, share of market meetings)

4. Shelf Dominance: Increased Share of Shelf (SoS) through superior, evidence-based planograms.
