Aircraft Engine Technician (Inspection Team).
Job Description
- Be prepared to train to become XEOS-certified aircraft engine part and module Inspector.
- Work in the Inspection team with responsible for the inspection of aircraft parts, assemblies, and modules.
- Inspect parts to the manufacturer’s specification and the specific relevant technical documentation.
- Check part condition using visual inspection methods and other enhanced measuring and inspection aids.
- Input part and serial number data of components to the engine records held within the Maintenance Data System (SAP).
- Check that the correct Service Bulletins (SB’s) and Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) are called in-accordance-with customer and regulatory requests.
- Inspect parts and disposition to outside vendor, call in-house repair or make serviceable.
- Ensure remaining life of Life Limited Parts (LLP’s) are in-accordance-with the engines required time on wing or request alternative if needed.
- Perform all work in-accordance-with the customers Purchase Order.
- Work as a motivated team member in a specialized dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely completion of production and projects.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and cross train on multiple engine lines.
- Participate in cross-training of other technicians as needed to support production schedules.
- Work within quality, environmental and health and safety management systems to deliver a high-quality product in a safe and responsible manner.
- Participates in continuous improvement of Inspection process.
- Document work performed in accordance with approved procedures and practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in aviation.
- Familiarity with Part-145 requirements.
- Good planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and decision-making skill.
- Ability to work according to engine manual and other technical documentation and internal processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Speak and understand English Language to a minimum of B1 standard.
- Willingness to go for on the job training to learn best practices from other facilities.
- Preferred knowledge of MS office.
- Vocational school or high school.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Take ownership of improving working area in accordance with the lean principles of flow, pull and takt.
- Willingness to work a shift pattern.
