Responsibilities:

1. Understand business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress.
2. Understand and use computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity, and computer architecture.
3. Analyse the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and ranking them by their success probability as well as analyse large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate technique.
4. Build algorithms based on statistical modelling procedures and build and maintain scalable machine learning solutions in production.
5. Apply machine learning algorithms and libraries.
6. Explore and visualize data to gain an understanding of it, then identify differences in data distribution that could affect performance when deploying the model in the real world.
7. Verify data quality and ensure it via data cleaning.
8. Supervise the data acquisition process if more data is needed.
9. Find available datasets online that could be used for training.
10. Train models and tune their hyperparameters.
11. Analyze the errors of the model and design strategies to overcome them.
12. Manage the infrastructure and data pipelines needed to bring code to production, deploying models to production.
13. Provide support to engineers and product managers in implementing machine learning in the product.
14. Collaborate with data engineers to build data and model pipelines.
15. Liaise with stakeholders to analyze business problems, clarify requirements and define the scope of the resolution needed.
16. Develop machine learning applications according to requirements.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
2. Understanding of data structures, data modelling and software architecture.
3. Deep knowledge of math, probability, statistics and algorithms.
4. Demonstrated technical expertise around architecting solutions around AI, ML, deep learning and related technologies.
5. Developing AI/ML models in real-world environments and integrating AI/ML using Cloud native or hybrid technologies into large-scale enterprise applications.
6. In-depth experience in AI/ML and Data analytics services offered on Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure cloud solution and their interdependencies.
7. Experience in effective data exploration and visualization (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
8. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. Ability to work in a team.
11. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. The ability to explain complex processes to people who arent programming experts.
13. Experience with Amazon Cloud and AWS AI services.
14. English – upper-Intermediate and higher.
15. Previous experience in communication with clients, ability to interact with clients freely, and consult them from a technical standpoint.
16. Pharma domain background.
