Duties and Responsibilities
The SIP shall serve as the TAFT Instructor Pilot and the Senior TAFT Advisor for unit training, standardization and AH-64D/E tactical employment.
The SIP shall provide ground training and mentorship to PAF Pilots and Instructor Pilots.
The SIP shall also provide Contractor prepared training for systems academics, simulator support, operation of installed mission equipment, aircraft and team tactical employment and system sustainment under day, night, night systems, enclosed cockpit, simulated instrument and simulated combat conditions.
The SIP shall manage the teams internal standardization and crewmember training sustainment program (similar to the Commanders Aircrew Training Program (ATP)).
The SIP shall be responsible for PAF maintenance and certification of aircrew member training folders; monitoring of currency, medical, and proficiency requirements as incorporated and executed by PAF internal procedures.
Minimum Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be qualified as a US Army AH-64D/Ev6 SIP and rated in the AH-64D/Ev6.
- Experience as an Aviation Tactical Operations Officer, Safety Officer is highly desired.
- Qualification as an Instrument Examiner required.
- The SIP must have a minimum of 3000 total flight hours, 2000 cumulative AH-64D/E hours, and 1000 hours cumulative as an AH-64D/E Instructor Pilot.
- Must be a graduate of the Instrument Examiner Course.
- Must have experience as an SIP at company/battalion level or higher.
- Must provide AH-64Ev6 qualification certificates.
- Experience with developing POI, gunnery operations, and employment of the AH-64E AIM-92 Air-to-Air Stinger (ATAS) is highly desired.
- Previous Security Assistance Team experience is desired.
