As an Agile Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services. Their project focuses on creating a cutting-edge data analytics ecosystem to deliver valuable business insights from a vast aggregation of structured and unstructured data sources. You will play a critical role in partnering with stakeholders, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that provide measurable business value, leveraging the latest technologies to solve complex problems.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Gathering and documenting requirements from stakeholders
  • Collaborating with Data Engineers to define and process data acquisition and migration sets
  • Supporting solution design by creating detailed user stories and technical documentation
  • Validating and analyzing data to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Overseeing testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production support
  • Facilitating workshops, brainstorming sessions, and Agile story mapping activities
  • Ensuring adherence to SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Supporting change management activities, including communication, training, and process alignment
  • Engaging with business stakeholders to present complex data insights clearly
  • Maintaining project logs and ensuring accurate status reporting to stakeholders

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in financial services
  • Proven expertise in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
  • Strong communication skills to present complex insights effectively to senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in SQL and the ability to navigate databases
  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile processes, with experience in using Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, GCP, and Hadoop
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in technical product development and delivery using modern technologies
  • Knowledge in domains such as:
    • Party/Client
    • Trade
    • Settlements
    • Payments
    • Instrument and pricing
    • Market and/or Credit Risk

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Understanding of DevOps practices and their integration into Agile workflows
  • Working knowledge of Python, Jupyter Notebook, Spyder, Pandas, Numpy, PySpark or Scala
  • Experience with data and analytics methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of key domains like client data, instrument pricing, or risk analytics
  • Familiarity with market data vendors and associated systems
