Advanced Manufacturing Engineer: Footprint and Capacity

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify optimal production sites for new programs and prepare evidence‑based information to support site selection.
  • Participate in strategic projects to optimize the current and future European manufacturing landscape.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve production processes and structures.
  • Plan and prepare space requirements for European production plants, ensuring efficient use of available production space.
  • Centrally plan and coordinate production capacities, optimizing capacity utilization to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Evaluate, report, and analyze operational key figures (OEE and capacity) for European plants, identifying improvement potentials based on the analyzed data.
  • Assess reuse potentials of existing equipment for new customer projects and create recommendations to best use existing resources to optimize production assets, efficiency, and processes.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in manufacturing or production environments, with a focus on capacity and space management.
  • Experience participating in strategic projects.
  • Background in evaluating and analyzing financial or non‑financial data.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools/software such as Excel, Power BI, MES.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning, production processes, parts, equipment, and general financial aspects.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct detailed analyses to identify optimal production sites and present evidence clearly to support recommended site selection.
  • Capacity evaluation and optimization skills to recommend how best to use existing resources and future needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, including plants, central functions, and leadership.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop long‑term plans.
