Your responsibilities

developing and maintaining actuarial reserving and analysis tools
analyzing data and results to ensure the quality of our financial statements
supporting the central team during the quarterly closing and forecast processes
monitoring and reporting on reserving KPIs to senior actuaries and other stakeholders
participating in constant knowledge transfer, understanding dependencies to derive appropriate analyses approaches
preparing relevant actuarial data and designing and developing automation scripts when needed

Our requirements

fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
graduate degree in mathematics, economics or a comparable quantitative field
excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise approach and high attention to detail
high ability and willingness to understand technical as well as functional dependencies
open-minded, proactive and well organized, with problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing workload and team player
self-motivated and self-dependent, willingness to develop further
high intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
intrigued to work in an international environment
advanced knowledge of the MS Office package
experience in coding (R, VBA, SAS) and/or experience in working with databases (e.g. SQL, IBM Planning Analytics or MS Access)

Optional

actuarial qualification and work experience in local or international GAAP (IFRS4, IFRS17, Solvency II)

About the role

We are looking for Actuaries to join our team. In your role you will work closely with the Central Reserving P&C teams of ERGO Group and ERGO Germany, contributing to the development and execution of our quarterly closing processes.
