ERGO Technology & Services S.A. (ET&S S.A.) was established in January 2021 following the integration of ERGO Digital IT and Atena into one entity, leveraging both companies’ strengths and best practices. As a part of ERGO Technology & Services Management AG, the technology holding of ERGO Group AG, we support millions of internal and external customers with state-of-the-art IT solutions to everyday problems.

In October 2022, ET&S S.A. expanded its scope of operations by creating a Business Services unit to contribute in a new way to the growth of ERGO’s business. About the role

We are looking for Actuaries and professionals experienced in the insurance industry to join our team.

How you will get the job done

• developing and implementing approaches, methods, tools and processes for the quantitative and qualitative validation of stochastic valuation models (including modeling approach, stability of models, model specification and parameters, data quality, model results, etc.)
• technical supervising and executing of the validation of models for risk and technical provisions calculations
• formulating, aligning validation findings and defining appropriate measures, recommendations with the involved stakeholders
• preparing the validation reports
• supporting the Head of validation Unit and the Actuarial Functions to form their opinion on the adequacy and reliability of the used valuation and risk models

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent English
• university degree in mathematics, computer science or comparable education with a focus on financial mathematics
• professional experience (at least 2 years) in Health insurance (German market) in at least in one of the following fields: risk management, actuarial, statistics, IFRS 17 or ALM
• competence to provide professional guidance
• very good communication skills and a strong team spirit
• independent way of working and a high level of commitment and integrity 
• proactive approach to work
• willingness to travel abroad (once-twice per quarter, 2/3 days)
