Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities
- Perform critical collection activities on overdue invoices, such as phone calls, email, dunning letters, and regularly contacting customers to determine payment delays.
- Analyze and investigate root causes of outstanding balances by liaising with internal and external customers.
- Proactively communicate with management about significant overdue receivables and potential risks.
- Manage credit risk by handling order blocks/unblocks and assessing customers’ payment histories.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve claims and customer issues and respond to inquiries.
- Provide day‑to‑day customer service in accordance with established standards and continuously improve service quality.
- Monitor payment plans and ensure adherence to agreed schedules.
- Lead escalation meetings and communications.
- Support month‑end close and AR accounting tasks.
- Prepare data and reports and continuously seek process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer data in the accounting system to ensure data integrity.
- Provide required documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Support deployment of new tools, systems, and processes within the receivables function.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay current on policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Act as a deputy for other team members during their absence to ensure continuity of AR operations.
Qualifications
- Secondary vocational or higher education in a relevant field (accounting, finance, economics) or related.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in English (minimum B1).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to conduct workshops and training sessions for employees.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic business conditions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel).
