The Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for maintaining a given portfolio of customers and reducing the aging of open AR by maximizing cash collections and reducing disputes.
YOU WILL
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations and provide insights into month-to-month differences.
- Cash Application: Accurately apply cash to customer accounts.
- Manage and process refunds for customers.
- Execute monthly billing processes.
- Resolve AR-related disputes within a predefined time frame.
- Review dispute documentation and assign disputes to the appropriate internal owner.
- Conduct data analysis, prepare, and present reports.
- Contact customers with delinquent accounts to resolve issues and secure payments, documenting all activities in the collection system.
- Collaborate with internal departments to research and support in obtaining information.
- Identify repetitive issues and communicate them to the proper owners to facilitate root cause analysis and resolution.
YOU NEED
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance/accounting
- Location: Must be located in Poland
- Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (reporting, data analysis, etc.)
- Language Skills: Fluent in spoken and written English
- Experience: Experience working in an international environment and in the SSC/BSC
- Problem-Solving: Ability to solve problems and propose improvements
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team
