Role Overview: As a Fixed Asset Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the fixed asset lifecycle for the Inditex project. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with financial data, ensuring accuracy, and contributing to smooth accounting processes.
Responsibilities
- Register new assets in the system (e.g., SAP FA), ensuring all information is accurate and aligns with company policies.
- Support the full asset lifecycle – from acquisition and capitalization, through depreciation, to disposal or retirement.
- Calculate and monitor depreciation in accordance with accounting standards and project‑specific requirements.
- Reconcile fixed asset accounts, prepare regular reports, and support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operational teams to ensure correct asset classification and timely updates.
- Ensure that all asset‑related processes comply with internal control standards and external regulations.
- Identify areas for improvement in the fixed asset process and contribute ideas for automation or optimization.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good command of English and Spanish.
- Basic reporting and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer‑communication skills.
- Teamwork ability and effective time management (including month‑end closure).
- Strong background in financial processes and accounting concepts.
- Previous experience in a customer‑service or financial role is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage tasks independently.
- Basic knowledge of SAP FA (good to have).
