We are looking for an Accounting Team Leader to join the core team of our Shared Service Centre in Warsaw and to help us establish best in class service.

You will be a part of a finance team focusing on delivering operational excellence to our locations in Asia. You will be taking a key role in the transition process for global entities, stabilizing the team and processes. You will be ensuring the smooth running of accounting processes to provide the best in class service.

• Reporting the effects of work, KPIs, and changes in processes to the Finance Lead.
• Supervising and coordinating tasks related to the accounting processes and ensuring effective cooperation in this respect with other departments.
• Demonstrating the understanding of the business environment in India (awareness of accounting specifics would be a plus).
• Preparation and supervision of transition activities to SSC in Warsaw.
• Proving the ability to communicate and effectively interact with people across cultures (both internally within the led team and externally).
• Monitoring process quality with effective issue solution implementation.
• Ensuring the continuity of processes by setting priorities consistent with the goals of the company and the group.
• Responsibility for the compliance of the entrusted process with the specified accounting policy and other internal and external regulations.
• Assigning and monitoring the tasks performed by members of the subordinate team.
• Motivating and supporting subordinates in achieving the set goals, in employee development, and in the constant improvement of the level of effectiveness.
• Managing day-to-day activities and work distribution in the team.
• Maintaining accounting policies and SOP procedures.
• Participating in the new transition projects and working towards proper team stabilization.
• Supporting accounting-related projects and GBS Strategy.

Requirements

• At least +2 years of leadership experience in Accounting or Finance area.
• At least +6 years of relevant experience in Accounting area (AP / AR / RTR).
• Very good knowledge of SAP FI module is a must.
• Experience in leading Accounting Transitions from/to India.
• Able to coach people, promote teamwork, set the example, and give and seek feedback.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Strong analytical background.
• Keen eye for process and quality improvement.
• Proactivity and ability to take initiative.
• Innovative and open-minded.
• Openness to traveling to Asian locations.
• Very good command of the English language with good communication skills; knowledge of the Hindi language will be an advantage.
