Polpharma BiologicsWe are looking for an experienced General Ledger (GL) / Fixed Assets Accounting Expert to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our accounting operations and financial reporting. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality biologics with passion and precision.
About the team:
This role is part of the
internal accounting department at Polpharma Biologics. Our team consists of specialists responsible for
Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and Tax. We are an in-house finance team, ensuring full compliance and accuracy in financial operations within the company.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Process accounting operations within the Record to Report (RTR) domain, encompassing General Ledger and subledgers.
- Conduct reviews of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements to identify errors and perform variance analysis.
- Perform reconciliation of selected balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries on an accurate and timely basis.
- Perform month-end closing activities to ensure timely financial reporting.
- Handle Fixed Assets accounting, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
- Administer banking systems and participate in bank reporting by setting up and updating reports.
- Process bank deposits.
- Prepare various reports for insurance and guarantee purposes.
- Compile and submit reports to national authorities, including NBP and GUS.
- Cooperate with other departments (Controlling, ESG).
- Execute selected internal control procedures within the GL and Fixed Assets areas to maintain compliance and accuracy.
If you have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4-8 years of experience in General Ledger and/or Fixed Assets accounting.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Working knowledge of SAP (highly advantageous).
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- The capacity to work effectively under time constraints.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, taking ownership of tasks with a strong focus on identifying and effectively resolving issues.
- A solid understanding of accounting principles; familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
