Overview

Accounting Consultant role at Canon EMEA.

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Accounting Consultant to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be to support the implementation of key strategic IT projects, specifically JPK_CIT (Jednolity Plik Kontrolny dla CIT) and KSeF (Krajowy System e-Faktur). This is a challenging position for a professional with deep accounting and tax knowledge who can bridge the gap between finance, IT, and external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Act as the key expert and support Project Manager in coordination of the JPK_CIT and KSeF implementation projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for communication with the external IT solution provider, company headquarters, and technical support teams for accounting systems.
  • JPK_CIT Specific Tasks:
    • Preparation, validation, and testing of batch files for JPK_CIT submission.
    • Reviewing the Chart of Accounts and performing the necessary mapping to comply with JPK_CIT requirements.
  • Team Support: Provide ongoing support to the Finance team in daily tasks and other accounting-related matters as needed.

Qualifications

  • Extensive Accounting Experience: Proven, significant experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
  • Corporate Income Tax (CIT) Expertise: In-depth practical knowledge of Polish Corporate Income Tax (CIT) regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience in calculating CIT and preparing corporate tax declarations.
  • Knowledge of Polish Accounting Act: Strong understanding of the Chart of Accounts structure and financial statement preparation as required by the Polish Accounting Act.
  • Financial Reporting Skills: Proven ability to prepare comprehensive financial statements according to the Polish Accounting Act.
  • English Proficiency: Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).

Highly Desired Skills

  • Project Management Experience: Demonstrated ability to manage projects from initiation to completion.
  • Leadership/Supervisory Skills: Experience in managing or coordinating team members and tasks.
