We are seeking a talented individual to join our Captive Operations Group team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Warsaw. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In the Captive Operations Group we are responsible for accounting, regulatory compliance and administrative functions for a portfolio of captive insurance companies and other clients.

We will count on you to:

1. Perform various accounting activities including : cash and investment accounts reconciliation, preparation of bank deposits and cash disbursements, performing intercompany reconciliations, valuations of assets, tracking and reconciling claims activity etc.

2. Prepare financial statements for mid-sized clients (based on IFRS)

3. Plan and complete the annual audit for clients

4. Prepare regulatory filings

5. Ensure ongoing compliance with domicile insurance regulations

6. Maintain client and office databases

7. Investigate outstanding issues on client accounts and contact clients as needed

What you need to have:

1. Min. 3 years of professional experience related to finance or auditing

2. MA or BA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

3. Excellent command of English (B2. min.)

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel (formulas and data analysis)

5. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail

6. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

7. Critical thinking and problem-solving

8. Open mindset towards change and engagement for continuous improvement

What makes you stand out:

1. Prior accounting experience gained in an accounting office / insurance company or FSI audit

2. ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified or part qualified
