Accountant/Associate Finance Controller with Polish language skills at A.P. Moller - Maersk. Maersk Global Service Centre in Warsaw.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end accounting activities and deliver month-end close on deadlines, ensuring compliance with financial controls and statutory requirements.
• Complete deliverables within timelines and SLAs; respond to inquiries timely; highlight process gaps and follow up with stakeholders.
• Deliver tax and audit requirements by established deadlines; back-up resource as needed; perform other tasks and ad hoc activities.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reviews for in-scope entities; verify accuracy and substantiation; implement action points for deviations.
• Conduct financial statement analysis; coordinate with process owners to consolidate accounting and tax information; provide reports on operational results.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors; ensure governance policies are up to date; adhere to RICC control framework and perform controls attestation.
• Support the Region Team on region-related projects as needed.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Proficiency in Polish and English; strong written and verbal communication.
• Extensive end-to-end accounting experience; compliance with financial controls and statutory requirements.
• Analytical and reporting skills; ability to analyze financial statements and provide operational reports.
• Problem-solving and process improvement abilities; ability to identify gaps and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Tax and audit expertise; knowledge of coordinating with auditors and governance policies.
