We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant to join our fund accounting team, focusing on OTC derivatives within investment fund portfolios. This role is ideal for professionals with a solid background in finance who thrive in a fast‑paced, analytical environment and are comfortable managing complex financial instruments.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full trade lifecycle of OTC derivatives within investment fund portfolios – including opening, closing, and processing lifecycle events.
- Analyze and reconcile derivative‑related data to ensure accurate accounting and valuation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by liaising with clients, brokers, and internal teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and reporting of derivative transactions.
- Take ownership of assigned client portfolios and projects, ensuring high levels of service and compliance.
- Contribute to process improvements and documentation to support operational efficiency and control.
Candidate Profile
- 1‑2 years of experience in a finance‑related role, preferably in fund accounting, investment funds, or similar environments.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a business‑related discipline (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Economics).
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, especially OTC derivatives, and their accounting treatment.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to take responsibility, work to deadlines, and maintain reliability in task execution.
Nice to Have
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Experience working directly with clients or brokers in a finance environment.
- Familiarity with fund administration systems and tools.
