About this opportunity
We are looking for an experienced 3PP Coordinator and Release Manager to join Ericsson’s Global Network Platform (GNP) team in Poland. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality software that will contribute to an enhanced user experience and the overall success of our products and services.
What you will do
As a 3PP Coordinator
- Main Product Development Unit interface and support function for 3PP matters in projects and during the maintenance phase
- Ensure that projects follow mandatory 3PP related directives, processes, trade compliances, best practices, and recommendations
- Create/review the Software Vendor List document and keep it up to date throughout the project
- Establish relations with all support functions involved in 3PP handling process very early during Pre-Phase
- Secure that assignments to Sourcing have been sent in time for the activity technical requirement specification definition. Provide Sourcing with all vital input in, and during the sourcing assignments
- Secure that technical support is available to Sourcing during RFx, evaluations, and negotiations. Making sure sourcing assignments are started as early as possible and finalized in time
- Secure that all FOSS products are evaluated and approved for use in Ericsson product
- Secure that all proposed commercial SW is accurately technically evaluated
- Secure that ECCN code for all components is identified and documented in 2400 documents
- Initiate and ensure correct productification and set up of license handling
- Secure that all Source Code is tagged with the correct Copyright Note
- Secure that Ericsson’s proprietary software should not be exposed to the FOSS licenses as a result of improper use/integration of Ericsson’s proprietary software with the FOSS (GPL classified code)
As a Release Manager
- Product release coordination
- Manage product configurations and documents according to Product Life Management Rules & Guidance
- Product numbering, structuring and registration in product management system
- Product documents list definition, document numbering and storing, and publishing
- Assist with the management of the build, release, including tagging
- Support developers with development related release tasks and use of VM infrastructure
- Define and drive improvement strategies for configuration management & release
You will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration system, setup, maintenance, and improvement
- Acquainted with the version control systems, such as Gitlab
- Knowledge of branch/baseline handling, merge principles and strategies, etc
- Knowledge of dependency management and product package versioning
- High understanding of PLM systems including WoW for Product Data and Structures
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management system
- Knowledge of Free Open-Source Software, its principles, and licenses
- General knowledge of the whole processes, tools and principles of the product release, such as the product and document structures/status management, release system, ordering system etc
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of software builds and packaging, and familiar with the script languages, such as Shell, Python and Maven, Gradle
- Knowledge of Docker, and Helm
- Internet protocol and security (SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, Certificates)
